Cookie policy

This cookie policy explains how Baypack uses cookies and similar technologies on this website. Please read it together with our privacy policy.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies, such as your browser's local storage and small scripts, do related jobs. Some are needed for the website to work; the others need your permission.

Strictly necessary

These are always on, because the website cannot work properly without them:

• Your basket is kept in your browser's local storage, so it is still there when you come back. It stays on your device until you check out.
• Signing in: if you have an account, a secure cookie keeps you signed in until you sign out.
• Security: our hosting provider may set a short-lived cookie to protect the website from attacks.
• Card payments: our payment provider may use cookies to prevent fraud when you pay by card.
• Your cookie choice is remembered for 12 months in a cookie called bg_consent, so we don't ask you on every visit.

Statistics (off until you accept)

With your consent, Google Analytics collects information about your visit: pages viewed, how you arrived (for example from a search or an ad), approximate location, device and browser, and what you click. It does not store your IP address. We use this to understand how the website is used and to improve it. Cookies: _ga and _ga_ followed by our ID, kept for up to two years. Google Ireland Limited and Google LLC process this data; Google may transfer it to the United States under approved safeguards.

Marketing (off until you accept)

With your consent:

• Meta Pixel (Facebook and Instagram) tells us whether our ads lead to visits and orders, and lets us show our ads to people who have visited the website. Meta may link this to your Facebook or Instagram account. Cookies: _fbp (three months) and _fbc when you arrive from an ad.
• Google Ads measures whether our Google ads lead to visits and orders. Cookies: _gcl_au (three months) and similar Google advertising cookies.

We do not sell personal data, and the website shows no third-party ads.

Website support: Evrien Creative

Evrien Creative is the trading name of Evrien Limited, which builds and maintains this website for us and provides security, performance and analytics support. For these purposes, authorised people at Evrien Limited may access the cookie settings, analytics information, technical logs and website data where reasonably necessary. Evrien Limited acts only on our instructions. See Evrien Creative's privacy policy.

Your choices

On your first visit you can accept all cookies, reject the optional ones or choose by category. Statistics and Marketing stay off unless you switch them on. You can change your mind at any time with "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page.

You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking the necessary ones may stop the basket or signing in from working, and clearing local storage empties your basket.

How long cookies remain

Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser. Others stay for the period shown above, or until you delete them. Providers can change these periods when they update their services.

Your rights

Where cookie information is personal data, you have the rights described in our privacy policy, including withdrawing consent at any time. Contact info@baypack.co.uk, or complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

Changes and contact

We will update this policy if the tools we use change. Questions: info@baypack.co.uk.
